Michelin Star restaurant Store at Stoke Mill in Norwich is set close in September after losing its head chef Liam Nichols. Its thought the restaurant will reopen later this year under a new name and head chef.

The restaurant opened in 2021 led by Head Chef Liam Nichols who helped bring in the first Michelin star to the restaurant in 2023. It retained its Michelin star in the 2024 Michelin guide. Chef Nichols is planning to take a culinary sabbatical and travel around Asia to explore and pick up new ideas. More on this on the worldofchefs.com website

London Michelin star restaurant St John to celebrate its 30th anniversary by returning to its original menu and prices. Opening in 1994 with Head chef Fergus Henderson and Trevor Gulliver.

Following in the footsteps of his friend David Beckham Three Michelin star chef Gordon Ramsay announced his first docu-series for Netflix. Star of Boiling Point, Kitchen Nightmares and MasterChef USA will feature in the series documenting as he opens three new restaurants in London’s second tallest building, 22 Bishopsgate.

Cameras will be granted access to Ramsay’s family, including his wife Tana, as he juggles home life with professional commitments.

Ramsay will open Lucky Cat, Bread Street Kitchen and a 14 seat chefs table restaurant at 22 Bishopsgate. We wonder if David Beckham or any famous friends will appear at the chefs table for the opening night.

Daily telegraph reports many ‘big name’ restaurants are  abandoning tasting menus Why big-name restaurants are abandoning tasting menus . Head Chef Dean Banks from the The Pompadour in Edinburgh is quoted in the article as saying an a la carte can be “more attractive to customers due to the perception of costs,” Banks continues. “£135 on a tasting menu can feel like a large investment for an evening. During a cost-of-living crisis, the a la carte option gives diners the chance to plan a budget for themselves that they feel comfortable sticking to.” Its worth noting the Pompadour is not a Michelin star restaurant and so yes £135 would be considered a large investment on this level of food.

Gordon Ramsay to open 14 seat chefs table at 22 Bishopsgate with Restaurant Gordon Ramsay team which will no doubt be aiming for accolades.

Three Michelin star chefs Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo have announced a collaboration with Crystal Cruises on their Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony ships.

Massimiliano, the youngest chef ever to be awarded three Michelin stars, and Raffaele, are co-owner of Three Michelin star Le Calandre in Veneto, Italy. The partnership means they’ll will bring their signature dishes to specialty dining venue Osteria d’Ovidio on both ships.

Crystal guests will also have the opportunity to dine on at Alajmo’s renowned restaurants Le Calandre in Padua and Grancaffe & Ristorante Quadri in Venice during voyages.

Three Michelin star Chef Massimo Bottura Opens first restaurant in America, ‘The Whimsical Torno Subito’ In Miami

Sael by Jason Atherton to open in the former site of Aquavit, London in September with 85 covers. It will feature only ingredients sourced from the British Isles. Menu to include Orkney scallops, Cumbrian lamb, Carlingford oysters and Highland wagyu, all of which will be cooked on the restaurant’s wood-fire grill.

Head Pastry Chef -Saudi Arabia. The Alain Ducasse Paris group is looking for a Head Pastry chef for their pop-up in Al-Ula Saudi Arabia.  The pop-ip runs from October 2024 to March 202 but there are plans to make it permanent.
