Somni, 2-Star Michelin Restaurant, Set to Reopen in West Hollywood After Four Year absence Two Michelin Star Somni first opened in 2018 under Head Chef Aitor Zabala, this week it announced that reservations for November will open on September 6th. The restaurant, which originally operated in The SLS Hotel before closing in 2020 due to the pandemic. The Michelin Restaurant will feature a chefs table with fourteen seats and a private dining room for up to six guests.
Alex Dilling to open Pop Up Restaurant at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok in Two Michelin Star Le Normandie. From 18 September 2024 to 31 January 2025, guests will have the unique opportunity to experience Alex Dilling’s modern interpretation of French cuisine at Le Normandie that has brought two michelin stars to his London Regent Street restaurant. Le Normandie has consistently been recognised for its excellence. It was one of only six restaurants in Thailand to be awarded 2 stars in the Michelin Guide Thailand 2021 and retained its 2-star status since the inaugural Michelin Guide Bangkok 2018
Aaron Harris joins Muse by Tom Aitkins in London Mayfair as head Chef from The Latymer restaurant Writing on his instagram page Owner Tom Atkins wrote “Would love to introduce you to my new head chef of Muse by Tom Atkins Chef Aaron Harris. He has worked alongside some great chefs across the UK from Arnaud Stevens of #SixtyOne in Marylebone. Mark Birchall where he opened the Barn, & the lovely Chef Lisa Goodwinallan at Northcote Hotel. After time spent with both of these chefs, he went to work with a close friend of mine Toms Story at Restaurant Story. Then lastly at Latymer Restaurant at Pennyhill Park working with Steve Smith. Appointed as his number two at the restaurant they achieved five AA rosettes as well as maintaining the star which has been held for 24 years “Muse offers a 10 course tasting menu with a 23 seat dining room and has held a Michelin Star since opening in 2020.
Swiss International Air Lines partners with Michelin-starred chef Manuel Steigmeier from FAHR restaurant. The new menu is part of the airline’s ongoing “SWISS Taste of Switzerland” program, designed to showcase the best of Swiss regional cuisine. For the next three months, First and Business Class passengers will enjoy dishes curated by Steigmeier, whose FAHR restaurant, located in Künten, Aargau, holds one Michelin star and 17 GaultMillau points. The FAHR’s cuisine is celebrated for its purist presentation and use of local ingredients. First Class travelers can enjoy starters like char tatar with dill mayonnaise, cucumber, and yoghurt mousse. Main course options include: Braised veal cheeks with cherry jus, cremolata, and mascarpone polenta. Sautéed cod with chimichurri, creamy fregola sarda, and roasted vegetables. The meal is completed with a decadent chocolate financier dessert.
French Top Chef tv program finalist Clotaire Poirier to open two restaurants in Paris with Pierre Gagnaire
Clotaire Poirier, who made it all the way to the final of Top Chef France usually works in a two-michelin starred Kadeau in Copenhangen Denmark. Poirier has announced two Paris residencies first at Bambino, then in collaboration with Pierre Gagnaire at Gaya.
Louis Vuitton Restaurant wins Michelin Star in Chengdu, China
During the fourth MICHELIN Guide announcement The Hall, the very first Louis Vuitton restaurant in China, has earned its first star. There was also the first Green Star restaurant involved in the area. In the latest edition. two restaurants were also awarded Two Michelin stars. The Hall, helmed by Italian chef Leonardo Zambrino , has newly received One MICHELIN Star while entering the selection of Chengdu for the first time.
